Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 28: On the occasion of Police Commemoration Day, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas & Police Flag Day 2024, Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) along with Blood Center, G.B. Pant Hospital, Directorate of Health Services supported the Office of the Commandant, India Reserve Battalion, A & N Islands to organize a blood donation camp on 28/10/2024 at IRBn HQ, Port Mout.  All together total 20 units of blood were donated by the voluntary donors.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 28: The online exam registration for B-Tech Nov 2024 theory exam commencing from Nov.23, 2024 of Pondicherry University shall be enabled from Oct.29 to Nov.7, 2024. The passed out students having arrear papers and regular students of B-Tech who are eligible for the said exam have been advised to contact their respective Faculty In-charge/Academic Coordinators/Academic Members of their Department for exam registration, exam fees payment and for any other information related to Theory & Practical exam.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 28: An educational excursion was organized for 125 eighth-grade students from Kendra Vidyalaya No. 2, Mini Bay, accompanied by six faculty members, to explore the ongoing Integrated Farming System, Fisheries, and Crop Science activities at the Garacharma Research Complex of ICAR-CIARI in Port Blair on October 28, 2024.

Dr. T. Subramani, Senior Scientist and Head in Charge of the Natural Resource Management Division provided hands-on experience in topics such as Organic Farming, Integrated Farming Systems, and Watershed Management. Dr. J. Praveenraj, scientist, elaborated on freshwater ornamental fish and the concept of fish spas. Shri Shyam Sundar Rao, Sr Technician showcased microplots featuring various rice types.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 27: The Indian Coast Guard conducted the biannual Coastal Security Exercise “Sagar Kavach-02/24” from 25-26 Oct 24. This large-scale exercise witnessed active participation from key stakeholders, including A&N Administration, Indian Coast Guard, Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, A&N Police, Customs, Fisheries Dept., Forest Dept., Port Management Board, Directorate of Shipping Services, SPL Bureau, SIB, DGLL, CISF, and IMMG.
