Port Blair, May 27: The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services organized a comprehensive Mass Deworming Camp on May 25, 2024 at Salu Tekry, Katchal in Nicobar District. This initiative aimed to improve the health and wellbeing of local livestock and pets by eliminating parasitic worms. During the camp, a total of 56 goats, 120 poultry birds, and 9 canines were administered deworming treatment. The event not only focused on deworming, but also educate the local farmers and pet owners about the importance of regular deworming, proper animal care, and management practices.

It is to inform to all general public that, the deck slab of the bridge at Km 88.300 (B.D. Nallah) within the Jarwa Reserve Areas has got damaged on Left Hand Side (from JPP Jirkatang). Consequently, the left carriageway has been barricaded and the traffic has been diverted to the Right Hand Side (Half Carriageway) of the Bridge. Now, some cracks have also been noticed on the Right Hand Side deck slab of the bridge (from JPP Jirkatang).

Port Blair, May 26: Heavy rain (07-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over Nicobar Islands on May 30 & 31. Squally weather with gusty surface wind exceeding 45 kmph is also very likely to be along and off Andaman & Nicobar coast. Sea condition is very likely to be rough to very rough.

Port Blair, May 27: The District Legal Services Authority, Andaman & Nicobar Islands will be holding National Lok Adalat in the District Court Complex at Port Blair and Sub-Divisional Court Complex at Mayabunder and Circuit Court at Diglipur on 15.06.2024. Besides the compoundable nature of cases pending in different courts, disputes at the pre-litigation stage will also be entertained by the National Lok Adalat for disposal upon consensual settlement between the parties. Pre-litigation disputes include NI Act cases u/s 138, Money recovery cases, Labour dispute cases, Electricity and water bills cases (excluding non-compoundable), Maintenance cases Civil disputes and disputes under the Consumer Protection Act.
