Port Blair, Aug. 7: As the nation celebrates 75 years of its Independence, and in celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the Hon’ble Lt Governor, A&N Islands and Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency, Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) has waived off the entry fee to the National Memorial Cellular Jail with effect from Aug 8 to 15, 2022.

Port Blair, July 26: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma will be hosting a Kargil Vijay Diwas function at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Port Blair on 27th July 2022. The function will be held at 9.30 am in which Cdr Abhishek Kanan NM (G), AFV, Lt. Col Major Kumar, SM (Retd), Archana Sardana, Mountaineer – Skydiver, Base Jumber and Deep Sea Diver, Lt. Cdr Aishwarya Boddapati NM (Retd) and Aprajita Acharya, Lawyer & Author will be the speakers. They will be addressing a large gathering of students and youths of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Port Blair, Aug. 7: Two positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands. Today, 8 flights with 1123 passengers arrived, out of which, 981 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 107 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency today at Raj Niwas. Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands thanked him for his service to A&N Administration & conveyed best wishes for his next assignment.
