Port Blair, Oct. 4: On the occasion of 151st Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) Hon'ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency paid homage to ‘Father of the Nation’ by offering floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Park. Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Chetan B. Sanghi, Shri Dependra Pathak, DGP and other senior officers of A&N Administration also offered floral tributes.

Port Blair, Oct. 4: The local NGO, ‘COMPASSIONATE LOVE IN ACTION’ (CLA) today distributed Dry Ration Kits comprising 25 essential commodities to 120 needy families of Auto Drivers who were financially affected during the LOCKDOWN. The occasion was graced by Mrs R Dimple, Network Director of ANI News and Advertising Agency who distributed Sanitizers and Masks along with the Dry Rations to the beneficiaries.

Port Blair, Oct. 4: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi, ‘WITH YOU’ (NGO) organised a Cleanliness Drive at Bambooflat area. On the occasion, Ms V K . Mariyam Bibi, President of the organisation stressed upon the importance of swatchata in our lives. The NGO urged the people to keep the village/city and their surroundings neat and clean. The youths, PRI members, auto drivers, ladies participated in the program.
