Port Blair, Feb 24: The Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency, Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) reviewed the status of vacancies and action plan for filling up these vacancies in this UT, at Raj Niwas today.
The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS, briefed about the sanctioned strength, number of vacancies which remain to be filled up and efforts made by the Administration for filling these vacancies in Mission Mode so as to ensure that most of the vacancies get filled up by October, 2023.

Port Blair, Feb 24: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has highlighted some pressing concerns regarding the welfare of the senior citizens of Andaman & Nicobar Islands before the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, the Member of Parliament said that our elderly citizens face a multitude of challenges and difficulties in their day-to-day lives, especially when it comes to accessing basic services and facilities.

Port Blair, Feb 24: A State Level Meeting of Joint Working Group of Departments & Youth and Training of Complaints Officer on the HIV & AIDS (Prevention & Control) Act 2017 was organized by Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) on 23rd February 2023. Thirty-Seven Nodal Officers/ Complaints officers representing various departments/colleges attended this meeting and training program.
