Port Blair, Oct. 27: In continuation with the on-going Police Flag Day commemorative events, on 24/10/2020, A & N Traffic Police had organised an awareness programme on importance of road safety & prevention and containment of spread of COVID-19 for auto drivers/owners. Port Blair, Oct. 27: To strengthen the management efforts to contain COVID-19, Shri Vijay Singh, IPS, DIGP, A&N Islands along with Shri Ashok Kumar Vishnoi, SDPO Car Nicobar visited Katchal Island. The DIGP took stock of the COVID-19 situation in Katchal Island and interacted with Corona Front Line Warriors, Village Captains, Departmental Heads, Settlers & Shop Keeper association.

Port Blair, Oct. 23: In its bid to stop illegal activities in South Andaman District, a surprise filed visit was carried out by the Deputy Commissioner (SA), Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS alongwith SDM (SA). During the inspection, it was found that one person was illegally mining stones at Bimblitan village using excavator.

Port Blair, Oct. 27: As a part of the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week, Shri. Madhup Kumar Tiwari, IPS, Director General of Police (I/c), A & N Islands, administered the oath to the staff of Police Headquarters at 11:00 AM on 27/10/2020 in the presence of the Inspector General of Police (A & N Islands, Superintendent of Police (HQ) and other senior Officers. Similar pledges were administered in all the Units & all Police Stations of A&N Islands.

Port Blair, Oct. 23: Striking hard on the proliferation of drugs in the Islands, PS Central Crime Station today seized its largest quantity of contraband this year and arrested a drug kingpin in the process.
