Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A & N State Organising Committee accompanied by other leaders of the party today (25.06.2023) visited Happy Nivas Colony at Ward No.2 of Shippighat Gram Panchayat in South Andaman and met the villagers and heard their grievances of not repairing the village road, non-availability of piped water in their area etc.

The event, flagged off by the Sh. Ajay Krishan Sharma, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Headquarters), brought together motorcycle enthusiasts, police personnel from various units of A&N Police and concerned citizens to raise awareness about the grave issue of drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

Port Blair, June 24: Hon’ble Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, GoI, Shri Ramdas Athawale arrived here today on a day’s visit to A&N Islands. Soon after arrival, the Minister held meeting with Senior Officers of A&N Administration and reviewed the progress of various Schemes of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment being implemented in A&N Islands in the Conference Hall of Secretariat.

This day serves as a reminder that drug abuse and trafficking continue to pose significant threats to the health, well-being, safety, and security of individuals and society as a whole.
