Chandrachoodan, President and Shri SP Kalairajan, General Secretary of the Andaman Sarvajanik Nirman Vibhag Mazdoor Sangh (Affiliated to CITU) met the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (PWD), Andaman & Nicobar Administration on 17th February, 2023 and demanded immediate grant of Non-Productivity Linked Adhoc Bonus to all the daily rated mazdoors working in the APWD.

Port Blair, Feb 20: The Directorate of Disaster Management, A&N Administration in coordination with the District Administrations recently conducted a 12 days Disaster Management Trainings under ‘Up-scaling Aapda Mitra Scheme’ of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in South Andaman and North & Middle Andaman Districts. During the training, 191 community volunteers provided basic skills training for responding to their community's immediate needs during and in the aftermath of a disaster. These trained volunteers can assist in saving lives using the basic techniques of disaster response, coordination and management.

Port Blair, Feb 20: A five-day training programme on ‘Vigilance & Disciplinary Proceedings Office Management including Office Procedure, Noting & Drafting and Record Management’ from Feb.20 to 24, 2023 is being organized by the Administrative Reforms and Training Wing of the Administration in association with the Institute of Secretariat Training & Management (ISTM), Department of Personnel & Training, Govt. of India, New Delhi for Amalgamated Clerical Cadre working in various Department of A&N Administration.

Port Blair, Feb 20: The Department of Fisheries in association with the National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Dollygunj and with the Financial Assistance of National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Hyderabad under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) proposes to organize a three days training programme on ‘Open Sea Cage Culture’ from March 2-4, 2023.
