Port Blair, Oct. 27: To strengthen the preventive measures of COVID-19 Pandemic, Shri Vijay Singh, IPS, DIGP, A&N Islands along with Shri Ashok Kumar Vishnoi, SDPO Car Nicobar is on 3 days visit to Nancowrie group of Islands. In order to implement the preventive measures of COVID protocols, the DIGP interacted with the CTC’s of Kamorta and Nancowrie along with the village heads & Shop Keeper association to strengthen the fight against Corona Virus at PS Nancowrie.

Port Blair, Oct. 27: On 26/10/2020 information was received by Inspr. Mahesh Kr. Yadav, SHO, PS Central Crime Station that one person namely Hasib Mondal of West Bengal, Kolkata arrived at Port Blair from Kolkata by private Airlines and will be carrying ganja for delivering to one Bipul Mondal R/o Wandoor at VIP Road near ITF ground. The information was conveyed to Dy. SP(CID) and on his direction a team comprising Inspr. Mahesh Kr. Yadav, SHO, PS CCS, ASI Vijay Shankar, Constable K. Rajendran, Raja Rao, Mohd. Imran and P. K. Mondal was formed and rushed to VIP Road and waited for arrival of accused persons.

Port Blair, Oct. 27: To strengthen the management efforts to contain COVID-19, Shri Vijay Singh, IPS, DIGP, A&N Islands along with Shri Ashok Kumar Vishnoi, SDPO Car Nicobar visited Katchal Island. The DIGP took stock of the COVID-19 situation in Katchal Island and interacted with Corona Front Line Warriors, Village Captains, Departmental Heads, Settlers & Shop Keeper association.

Port Blair, Oct. 27: In continuation with the on-going Police Flag Day commemorative events, on 24/10/2020, A & N Traffic Police had organised an awareness programme on importance of road safety & prevention and containment of spread of COVID-19 for auto drivers/owners. The meeting was chaired by Shri. Ajay Kr. Rai, DANIPS (Dy.SP Traffic).

Port Blair, Oct. 27: As a part of the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week, Shri. Madhup Kumar Tiwari, IPS, Director General of Police (I/c), A & N Islands, administered the oath to the staff of Police Headquarters at 11:00 AM on 27/10/2020 in the presence of the Inspector General of Police (A & N Islands, Superintendent of Police (HQ) and other senior Officers. Similar pledges were administered in all the Units & all Police Stations of A&N Islands.
