
Mayabunder, April 12: An outreach Ayushman Arogya Shivir was organized at Govt. Primary School Austin–II under AAM Mohanpur today to provide essential healthcare services to the local population. The camp was led by Dr. Alice Bwa, Medical Officer, Dr. R.P. Hospital, Mayabunder, along with a multidisciplinary team. As part of the 100 Days Campaign under TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan 2.0, various health services including screening for TB, NCDs, anaemia, malaria, and geriatric conditions were conducted. A yoga session and a psychological counselling session were also organized.
Dr. Alice Bwa, delivered an awareness talk on TB, HPV vaccination, leptospirosis, dengue fever, and heat-related illnesses among the general public. 45 beneficiaries attended the camp. Out of the 22 individuals screened through handheld X-ray, 3 cases were found abnormal. Additionally, 8 presumptive TB cases were identified and sent for sputum examination.
General medical consultations were provided, medicines were distributed, and patients requiring further evaluation were referred to Dr. R.P. Hospital, Mayabunder for further investigation including blood tests and sputum examination.
