Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 19: The Department of Tourism, A&N Administration, in collaboration with the Department of Environment & Forests will be organizing Mangrove Creek Tourism on 21st February, 2026 from 10 AM to 12 PM at Wright Myo with the tagline #Rootsoflife.
The objective of conducting this activity is to provide participants with a guided experience through the mangrove ecosystem, enabling them to understand the ecological importance, biodiversity and conservation value of mangroves. The programme will also serve as a platform to promote sustainable eco-tourism practices and encourage local participation, particularly from nearby areas, thereby supporting self-employment opportunities through eco-guiding and nature-based tourism. Bus services will be provided by the Department for the first 30 participants registered with the Department.
As the event is open to all, those interested in participating may also reach the venue directly by 10 AM. The bus will depart from the Main Bus Depot, Mohanpura at 8 AM.
