Sri Vijaya Puram, May 17: Sports Authority of India, SAI STC Sri Vijaya Puram, is proud to announce a remarkable achievement by its rowing athletes Ms. Sneha Toppo and Ms. P. Alagammal, residential athletes of SAI STC Sri Vijaya Puram representing Andaman & Nicobar Islands displayed exceptional determination, teamwork, and sporting excellence by securing the Silver Medal in the LW2- Event at the prestigious ASMITA Women’s League Rowing Championship 2026 held at Raamgarh Taal, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh from 12th May 2026 to 17th May 2026, bringing laurels to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands on the National stage.
Their outstanding performance reflects the growing standard of rowing in the Islands and stands as an inspiration for aspiring women athletes across the UT. The achievement is also a testament to the dedicated efforts of the Coaches and the continuous support extended by Sports Authority of India and Andaman & Nicobar Rowing Association to the athletes in their sporting journey.
