Sri Vijaya Puram, July 31: The State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI-RSETI), Sri Vijayapuram, successfully concluded a 12-day Fast Food Stall Udyami Training Programme conducted from 6th July to 18th July 2026. The programme benefited 24 rural youth and women from South Andaman, equipping them with practical skills and entrepreneurial knowledge to establish self-employment ventures in the fast food sector.
The valedictory function was graced by Shri Santosh Sahu, Regional Manager, SBI, Shri P. K. Ummer Farooq, Chief Manager, UTLBC, A&N Islands, and Shri Arogya Raj, Director, DISHA NGO. During the programme, several trainees shared their learning experiences and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to acquire valuable skills.
Addressing the participants, Shri Santosh Sahu encouraged the trainees to effectively utilize the knowledge and practical skills gained during the training to establish their own enterprises. He emphasized that self-employment would not only make them financially independent but also motivate other rural youth to pursue entrepreneurship.
Shri Arogya Raj appreciated the enthusiasm shown by the trainees in upgrading their skills and encouraged them to work with dedication and confidence to achieve success. He also announced that DISHA NGO would provide space for setting up fast food stalls for interested Self-Help Group (SHG) members, thereby supporting their entrepreneurial journey.
Speaking on the occasion, C. Raj, Director, SBI-RSETI, expressed satisfaction over the successful completion of the training programme. He acknowledged the valuable support extended by the Department of Hotel Management, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) in conducting the programme effectively.
The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to the successful participants and a vote of thanks.
