Port Blair, June 25: Shri Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS (AGMUT : 1995) took over the charge of Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Islands yesterday i.e. June 23, 2023. Welcoming the DGP, A&N Islands, an impressive Ceremonial Parade was presented at Police Lines, Port Blair today i.e. 24/06/2023, consisting of 06 platoons including Executive Police (Male), Executive Police (Female), Fire Service, IRBn, Police Brass Band and All Female Pipe Band. The welcome parade was commanded by Shri Naveen Kumar, Deputy Commandant (IRBn). All senior officers, rank and file were present to witness the Parade.

Port Blair, June 25: On the request of the villagers of the area, D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A & N State Organising Committee accompanied by other leaders of the party today (25.06.2023) visited Happy Nivas Colony at Ward No.2 of Shippighat Gram Panchayat in South Andaman and met the villagers and heard their grievances of not repairing the village road, non-availability of piped water in their area etc.

Port Blair, June 24: Hon’ble Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, GoI, Shri Ramdas Athawale arrived here today on a day’s visit to A&N Islands. Soon after arrival, the Minister held meeting with Senior Officers of A&N Administration and reviewed the progress of various Schemes of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment being implemented in A&N Islands in the Conference Hall of Secretariat.

Port Blair, June 25: A&N Police is proud to announce the successful arrangement of a captivating motorcycle rally to commemorate the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The event, flagged off by the Sh. Ajay Krishan Sharma, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Headquarters), brought together motorcycle enthusiasts, police personnel from various units of A&N Police and concerned citizens to raise awareness about the grave issue of drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
