Port Blair, Aug 16: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has demanded age-relaxation of 5 years in respect of all categories of posts advertised by the APWD and Secretariat recently for the local candidates.  In a letter sent to the Lt. Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A & N State Organising Committee while appreciating the decision of the A & N Administration to advertise 127 posts of various categories in APWD and 556 group ‘C’ posts of clerical, stenographic and other categories, brought to the notice of the Lt. Governor that the Administration had not appointed any candidate against any vacant post during the last 3 years.

Port Blair, Aug 16: Navodhaya Foundation, A&N Islands conducted an Inter School competition in collaboration with Education 2.0 & PBMC at Kaithan Kalyaana Mandapam at Junglighat on 13th Aug 2022. The competitions lasted for 5 hours starting from 3 PM to 8 PM.

Port Blair, Aug 16: The A&N Police organized a bike-cum-walk Tiranga Rally as part of celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ from Dharamsala Crossing to Flag Point on 14.08.2022 at 0630 hrs. Shri Sanjay Kumar Jain, IPS, IGP (L&O) was the Chief Guest and commemorated the function by flagging-off the rally in presence of Smti. Monika Bhardwaj, IPS, SSP/Commandant, IRBn and other senior officers of A & N Police/IRBn.
