Port Blair, May 27: The District Legal Services Authority, Andaman & Nicobar Islands will be holding National Lok Adalat in the District Court Complex at Port Blair and Sub-Divisional Court Complex at Mayabunder and Circuit Court at Diglipur on 15.06.2024. Besides the compoundable nature of cases pending in different courts, disputes at the pre-litigation stage will also be entertained by the National Lok Adalat for disposal upon consensual settlement between the parties. Pre-litigation disputes include NI Act cases u/s 138, Money recovery cases, Labour dispute cases, Electricity and water bills cases (excluding non-compoundable), Maintenance cases Civil disputes and disputes under the Consumer Protection Act.

Port Blair, May 26: Heavy rain (07-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over Nicobar Islands on May 30 & 31. Squally weather with gusty surface wind exceeding 45 kmph is also very likely to be along and off Andaman & Nicobar coast. Sea condition is very likely to be rough to very rough.

Port Blair, May 25: The first edition of e-Magazine of Department of Fisheries titled, ‘Matsya Drishti’ was released by Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration in the Conference Hall of Secretariat, A&N Administration in the presence of Senior Officers of A&N Administration on May 21. The Chief Secretary commended the efforts of the Department in bringing out the magazine which is first of its kind highlighting the developmental initiatives of A&N Administration in Fisheries and Aquaculture Sector of the Islands.

The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has deeply mourned the sad demise of Smt. Savithri Devi Vaidya, w/o Shri. Rajaram Vaidya, Retd. Income Tax Officer on 26/05/24 at GB Pant Hospital at 10.30 am.
