Port Blair, April 4: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,10,927 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,365 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs and 9,807 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 11,162.

Port Blair, April 4: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 229 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 17 flights with 2847 passengers arrived, out of which, 2547 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 227 passengers and the reports are awaited. 

Port Blair, April 3: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands to operate Chartered flights in Port Blair - Kolkata and Port Blair - Chennai routes twice a week from 15, April to July end 2022 so that the islanders can get plane tickets at an affordable rate.

Port Blair, April 3: The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) today signed a grant agreement with the Government of India, to provide aid of up to 4,016,000,000 Japanese Yen (INR 250 crores approx.) for the Project for the Improvement of Power Supply in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
