Port Blair, May 30: The general public and consumers have been informed that, due to the urgent breakdown maintenance of the breakers of the Reactor installed at Bambooflat Sub-Station and the upkeep of Panther-I and Panther-II tie lines, the power supply will remain suspended on June 1 between 7 am and 2 pm in the Port Blair and South Andaman areas. This outage is necessary to facilitate the repair of the breakers of Reactor and Panther-I and Panther-II tie lines.

Port Blair, May 29: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has proposed introduction of Insurance Policy for visiting Tourists to minimize losses suffered by tourism stakeholders and tourists for cancellation of flights or ferries.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, the Member of Parliament mentioned that recent incidents of cancellation of several flights between Port Blair and Kolkata as well as Chennai Sectors have highlighted the pressing need for a robust mechanism to protect both tourists and local tourism stakeholders from the significant losses and inconveniences caused by such events.

Port Blair, May 29: The First annual day of GD Goenka Health Care Academy, Port Blair was an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity where 180 students from various islands of Andaman & Nicobar Islands presented not only their wonderful performances but also received honours for their curricular and co-curricular achievements.

The Annual Day, 2024 was woven around the theme ‘AURORA’ meaning natural dynamic brilliant light display on the horizon of earth’s sky. The function was graced by Mr Mohit Mehra CEO, GD Goenka Health Care who came all the way from Delhi to bless this occasion of first Annual day and other dignitaries of the Islands.
