Port Blair, April 14: The Indian Coast Guard today conducted a Community Interaction Programme at Gram Panchayat, Ramnagar in Diglipur. The programme was also graced by Shri. Saksham Grover Asst. Comdt., Shri Narayan Ch. Baroi, Field Assistant, Fisheries Dept. and Smti. Sumangala from Kalighat Police Station apart from general public and PRIs.

Port Blair, April 14: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 118 incoming flight passengers yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 10 flights with 1556 passengers arrived, out of which, 1381passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 133 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, April 13: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Secretary of Shipping, A&N Administration to provide ships for Car Nicobar and Kamorta Islands on priority.

In a letter addressed to the Secretary Shipping, the MP informed that a large number of residents of Kamorta Island are stranded at Port Blair since the last few days due to unavailability of ships.

Port Blair, April 14: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,12,517 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,397 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 10,726 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 14,737.  A total of 8 beneficiaries were administered precautionary dose of vaccine in South Andaman District today.
