Port Blair, July 26: As per the direction of the AICC, the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee, under the leadership of its President, Shri. Rangalal Halder staged a Satyagraha rally today to condemn the decision of the Enforcement Directorate to Summon Congress leader Sonia Gandhi for the 2nd Consecutive day for questioning in the National Herald case. The protest rally started from the premises of Congress Office (Gandhi Bhawan) to Gandhi Statue.

Port Blair, July 26: As a part of 73rd Van Mahotsav celebration, 2022 the Middle Andaman, Forest Division organized a Mini Marathon under the theme RUN FOR BETTER TOMMOROW “Save Forest, Save Planet Earth” on 26/07/2022 at 0630hrs. The marathon was flagged off by Shri. Satyaprakash Singh, IFS, Divisional Forest Officer, Middle Andaman, which commenced from the Forest Check Post Rangat and culminated at Divisional Forest Office, Middle Andaman Hawamahal, via Forest central nursery Parnashala covering a distance of 07Kms.

Ministry of Law & Justice has amended the Representation of the People Act, 1950 vide the Election Laws (Amendment) Act, 2021 dated 30th December, 2021. The amendments in the said Acts broadly cover the following aspects: -

Port Blair, July 26: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,92,122 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,901 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 26,468 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 56,893.
