Port Blair, Sept. 23: One positive case has been detected today in A&N Islands from an incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday. Today, 12 flights with 1950 passengers arrived, out of which, 1787 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 133 passengers and the reports are awaited.  

Port Blair, Sept. 23: As a part of the series of programmes being organized as part of Hindi Fortnight-2022 observance, an Elocution Competition was organized today for students of class IX and X by Official Language Department, A&N Administration.

Port Blair, Sept. 22: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Secretary of PBMC to place a sufficient number of Little Bins/ Garbage Bins along the entire marina park stretch right from Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex to Flag Point, for the convenience of visitors.

He also requested the Secretary PBMC to conduct a survey of Little Bins/ Garbage Bins in other prominent tourist places in Port Blair city and place sufficient numbers of such Little Bins/ Garbage Bins, so that our Tourists spots remain clean all the time.

INTER ISLAND SECTOR:

MV Kalighat will sail for Car Nicobar on 27.09.2022 (Tue) at 1500 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 28.09.2022 (Wed) at 1600 Hrs from Car Nicobar.

Passenger Tickets for onward journey will be issued on 27.09.2022 at Haddo Wharf two hours prior to the departure time of the vessel based on verification of Covid Booster/Precautionary Dose Certificate or Negative RTPCR Test Report provided from the RTPCR testing Centre, Port Blair.

Sindhu will sail for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 29.09.2022 (Thu) at 1000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 01.10.2022 (Sat) at 0900 Hrs from Campbell Bay via Nancowry.

Port Blair, Sept. 22: Indian Navy’s Mid-Year Refit Review (MYRR) and Mid -Year Infrastructure and Indigenisation Review (MYIIR) of 2022 for Eastern Naval Command and Andaman & Nicobar Command was inaugurated by Lt Gen Ajai Singh, AVSM, Commander-in–Chief Andaman and Nicobar Command on 21 Sep 22 at Naval Ship Repair Yard, Port Blair. The review chaired by Vice Admiral Sandeep Naithani, AVSM, VSM, Chief of Material, was attended by representatives of Naval Headquarters, Eastern Naval Command, HQ ANC, Repair yards, Material Organizations, Naval Trials and Acceptance Authority (NATAA) and Indian Navy Ship Maintenance Authority (INSMA).
