Port Blair, May 16: A Common Entrance Test is proposed to be conducted for selecting candidates for GP Rating Course at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Port Blair. The entrance test shall be conducted at DBRAIT. Accordingly, the written test will be held from 10 am to 11 am on June 3 while the physical test will be held in two spells i.e. from 9 am to 12.30 pm & 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm on June 7, 2024.

Port Blair, May 16: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress President, Mr.  Rangalal Halder has addressed a demanding issue to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration regarding the need for the extension and renovation of the APWD Guest House situated in Rangat, Middle Andaman.

He stated that for half a century, the APWD Guest House has been serving visitors with a mere 8 rooms, severely limiting its capacity and failing to meet the burgeoning demand for accommodation which further diminish its appeal to potential guests, hindering its potential to contribute to the visitors.

Port Blair, May 16: To carry out emergency repair works onboard the vessel MV Pilopanja presently providing service between Chatham & Bambooflat will be withdrawn from vehicle ferry service on May 17, 2024 from 0600 hrs onwards. However, all out efforts are being made by the Directorate of Shipping Services to rectify the defects and to resume the service at the earliest on top priority. The general public have been informed that the vessel MV Mus & MV Karmatang will be carrying out the vehicle ferry services between Chatham & Bambooflat. Commuters have been requested to cooperate with the Directorate of Shipping Services.
