Rangat, July 4: In a swift and efficient operation carried out on 03/07/2024, the Rangat Police successfully confiscated a significant quantity of illicit liquor inside the dense forest of Shyamkund and Urmilapur.
Acting promptly on a tip, SI Madhab Halder, SHO, PS Rangat formed a specialized team consisting of PC K. Sameer and Cts William Barla and Subol Bepari. The proactive team successfully seized a significant quantity of 300 liters of Lehan, along various utensils, and timber materials used in the production process. These materials were discreetly hidden within the jungle. Subsequently, all confiscated items were promptly destroyed, dealing a major blow to the illegal liquor manufacturing network.

Secures No.1 Position Fourth Time Since July, 2023 Among UTs in CCTNS Pragati Dashboard
Port Blair, July 3: In a remarkable feat, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands has once again achieved a significant milestone by securing the top position (96.67%) amongst the Union Territories in the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) PRAGATI Dashboard in the month of May, 2024 for the fourth time since July, 2023. This system is administered by the National Crime Records Bureau in New Delhi. The CCTNS is a flagship project of the Ministry of Home Affairs, regularly monitored by the Honorable Prime Minister of India and the Ministry of Home Affairs through the PRAGATI Dashboard on a monthly basis.

Port Blair, July 3: Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, BJP A&N Islands, along with State Vice President, Shri. M. Vinod and Dr. R Dev Das, State Secretary, BJP A&N Islands called on the Director General of Police, Shri. Devesh Chandra Shrivastava in his office and discussed various issues pertaining to public convenience like Traffic Congestion in the peak hours, Establishment of Children Traffic Park at Diglipur, Orgainising Various Sports related activities in and around Port Blair particularly to engage the youths in fruitful activities during evening hours and also to facilitate the visiting tourists.
