Lady Tourist Formally Hoisting of Blue Flag at Radhanagar

Port Blair, Dec. 28: The formal hoisting of the Blue Flag at Radhanagar beach, Swarajdweep was held in a simple ceremony by a woman tourist, who was on visit to the Radhanagar Beach. The Radhanagar beach, the pride of these islands is one among the eight beaches of the country that has been awarded the prestigious “Blue Flag Certificate”. Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Deputy Commissioner (SA) graced the function as Chief Guest accompanied by the Additional District Magistrate, Assistant Commissioner (S), Divisional Forest Officer, community representatives and officials of the Revenue & Forest Department.

Port Blair, Dec. 28: Under the aegis of Andaman Sangeet Academy, Dairy Farm, Junglighat, Port Blair organised a whole day programme “Swachhata Abhiyan” and “Picnic” on 27th December 2020 at Wandoor Sea Beach from 09:00am to 03:00pm. The programme was joined by the members, teachers, students and their parents altogether 30 (thirty) who participated in the Abhiyan. Soon after the Abhiyan, children presented variety entertainment programme which was enjoining by all present there.

Port Blair, Dec. 27: CoralSafari and Andaman Boat Club (Brands of Heaven On Ocean Tourism Pvt. Limited, a National award winning company in Niche Tourism) together are taking an initiative along with ANI Administration to develop tourism / safe water adventure sports activities from Water Sports Complex from 27th Dec 2020. The Sports Based entertainment was formally inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Shri Suneel Anchipaka today.

Port Blair, Dec. 27: The Two-day long training for Vaccine Cold Chain Handlers (CCH’s) from all the cold chain points in South Andaman District (18) for routine immunization (RI) as well as for COVID-19 vaccination (Co-WIN) was held at SR CASTLE, Dollygunj on Dec 20th & 21st. The training was meant to train CCH’s to record data in electronic vaccine intelligence network (eVIN) app, designed by MoHFW along with UNDP and GAVI. The training was inaugurated by Dr. Omkar Singh (DHS) and in total 32 participants attended this programme for two days.
