(1) The essential commodities (Amendment) act 2020. (2) The Farmers produce trade and commerce (Promotion and Facilitation act 2020. (3) The Farmers (empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Act 2020.

Port Blair, Dec. 23: The Vice-Chancellor of Pondicherry University has granted approval for 2 more special chances (January 2021 & June 2021) for the students who are yet to complete their courses through Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) and also through twinning programmes to enable them to complete their courses as detailed below, based on the requests made by the students.

Impressive Ceremonial Parde Held at Police Line to Welcome the New DG Police

Port Blair, Dec. 22: An impressive ceremonial parade was held to welcome the new Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri Satyendra Garg, IPS at Police Line Port Blair on 22/12/2020 at 0830 hrs. Sh. Garg took charge of DGP, A&N Police on 21st December, 2020. 05 platoons including Executive Police (Male), Executive Police (Female), Fire Service, IRBn and Police Brass Band participated in the parade, which was commanded by Shri. Kaliavanan R. IPS, SDPO Bambooflat. All senior officers, rank and file were present in the Welcome Parade. During the function, the COVID-19 protocols were strictly adhered to.

Port Blair, Dec. 22: The Central Government made AADHAAR mandatory to avail the benefits of all the welfare schemes implemented by the Government of India. For enrolment of all the left out beneficiaries, this UT Administration will conduct a special drive at all Government as well as private school and Anganwadi Centers to provide an alternative platform for the convenience of the people. The Department of Education and Social Welfare will conduct this special drive in close coordination with the Department of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs for achieving 100% saturation in AADHAAR to ensure that no person of this UT shall be deprived of from any of the benefits. The date time and venue of AADHAAR Camps shall be widely published for information in due course of time.
