Port Blair, Aug 3: The A&N AIDS Control Society (ANACS) conducted a mainstreaming training programme on HIV/AIDS for the GREF Officers & Personnel on 02.08.2023 at Recreation Room HQ 46 BR(1)TF, Chakkar Goan, Port Blair. A total of 50 personnel participated in the training programme.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr Subrata Saha, Project Director, A&N AIDS Control Society.

Port Blair, Aug 3: A social media campaign has been launched under the aegis of "Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat" an initiative of Ministry of Education, GOI. In this regard, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has initiated 03 months long campaign to encourage maximum participation by its learners to display their talent in art forms such as Dance, Singing, Photography and Painting, and Sculpting/Sketching.

Port Blair, Aug. 3: The Department of Fisheries has engaged four Fisheries Tourist Guides for explaining the visitors and tourists about the different fish species in the Fisheries Museum-cum-Aquarium located at Aberdeen Bazaar near Marina Park. These tourist guides were given training on the exhibits and marine life displayed in the Fisheries Museum-cum-Aquarium.

Port Blair, Aug 3: The A&N Administration vide Notification No.34-710/2011-Rev dated 21/07/2010, declared Ferrargunj Tehsil as local area under the provision of Sec 48 (1) of Andaman & Nicobar LR & LRR 1966. Consequently, Revenue survey was started at Guptapara village and measurements of the individual plot No./Sy.No was taken under the provision of section 49 of LR & LRR 1966.
