Port Blair, Feb. 7: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,05,352 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 22,786 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years against the target beneficiaries of 23,000.The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 6839.

Port Blair, Feb. 7: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 124 passengers who arrived here yesterday, one positive case has been detected. Today, 7 flights with 840 passengers arrived, out of which, 671 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 159 passengers (2 foreign travellers) and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, Feb 6: Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands organised a press conference at BJP Bhavan, Middle Point, Port Blair, which was addressed by Shri. John Barla, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India.

Port Blair, Feb 6: The Director, Panchayat & Municipal Elections, Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS alongwith the ADM (SA), SDM (SA), AC (S), Returning Officers, Tehsildar Port Blair, Asst. Returning Officer and officials from the line departments made random visit to the polling stations in around Port Blair to review the ‘Assured Minimum Facilities’ (AMFs) in the polling stations in connection with the ensuing Panchayat & Municipal Elections.
